Ziggo Integration

Liberty Global was integrating its Netherlands cable operations - Ziggo and UPC. Ed joined as B2C Program Product Owner, focused on migration of former Ziggo customers to the new platform.

• Cross team product owner, responsible for program level user stories which define business needs and required activities across dozens of different development teams (both scrum and waterfall)

• Delivered functionality to enable migration of over 2 million SoHo and Residential accounts from legacy Ziggo order entry / business support systems to new shared platform

• Repositioned role from “story writer” to “end to end story owner” by prioritizing helping development teams understand and resolve issues with “in flight” stories ahead of refining new requirements

• Streamlined refinement process by introducing story preparation phase with key subject experts and switching to “Given When Then” story acceptance criteria - reduced bugs per story by 90%.

• Presentations to the Agile Conference / Agile Practice on various topics including Prototyping Techniques, Business Discovery, Epic Refinement, Given… When… Then… acceptance criteria
