Customer Information System

UK Railway Customer Information System (CIS) is a railway timetable management system used to track trains by station operators, run time-table displays and make announcements across 423 railway stations in the UK.

Kuldeep specialised in the patented ‘railway monitoring’ algorithm which used live train movement data and mapped it to the planned timetable and track topology used to show accurate train movements, drive timetable displays and make announcements.

Kuldeep led the digital cartography projects within CIS responsible for keeping all the data and maps up to date and inline with future maintenance to minimise disruption.
